TOP PROFESSOR JOINS UNIVERSITY

 

One of the UK’s leading professors of education leadership is to join the International Institute for Education Leadership at the University of Lincoln.

 

Professor Tony Bush – currently Professor of International and Comparative Education at the University of Reading – will officially take up his new post at the university in October.

 

Internationally recognised for his work in education, Professor Bush has experience teaching both compulsory and post-compulsory education and has been a visiting professor and external examiner at universities across the globe, including China, South Africa, Singapore and New Zealand.

 

He is editor of the UK’s premier education journal ‘Educational Management and Administration’ and directs a number of research projects for the National College of School Leadership.

 

As author and co-author of well over 100 educational management books and articles, Professor Bush has extensive experience in education and was the founder of Leicester University’s Education Management Development Unit. 

 

He has a personal interest in developing countries and has done considerable work in South Africa where he met his fiancée, who will be also be joining the university to study with the Faculty of Business and Management.

 

He is currently directing an evaluation of education management in the Gauteng province, funded by the Centre for British Teachers.
