A DESIRE TO DESIGN?

School leavers with flair for fashion, a desire to draw or who are adept at art are being invited to a further education open day next Wednesday (18th June) at the Lincoln School of Art and Design.

Fashion, Photography, Graphic Design, Theatre Crafts and Product Design are just some of the two-year National Diploma courses on offer to anyone over the age of 16.

During the open day visitors will be able to attend individual course presentations, view examples of student work, speak to tutors and have a guided tour of the facilities.

“The open evenings are an ideal opportunity for all those aged 16 years and over to find out more about our courses and to take a look at the excellent learning resources available,” said a university spokesperson.

In a recent visit to the school by Edexcel, the national examination board, student work was highly complimented and photographs of the work were taken for use as examples of good practice.

“To have the good quality of the student work recognised in this way is a credit to the hard work of both the staff and the students,” said Stewart Bibby, National Diploma Design co-ordinator.

The event is open from 3.30 to 8.30pm next Wednesday at Chad Varah House, University of Lincoln, on Wordsworth Street, just off Steep Hill.

For further information or to book a place please call Stewart Bibby on 01522 895072.
