A website created by a University of Lincoln student has been voted as a top site for Smart phones.
Hugh Boughton (22), who studies HND Media Technology at the Cottingham Road campus in Hull, has produced a mobile phone website as part of his final year.
“I’m really pleased,” said Hugh, who’s originally from West Cumbria.
“We’ve had over 600 hits already and on the coolsmartphone.com website there is a link from the top Smart phone-surfable sites to mine.
“It’s simple, but quite popular,” he added.
The site was created and hosted on the web at the end of last month and is used as a way to view downloads on a Microsoft Smart phone.
The Smart phone itself is the next step in mobile phone technology. Features include coloured screens, polyphonic ringtones, multimedia messaging and photographs.
On Hugh’s site ringtones, backdrops and videos can all be downloaded and listened to or viewed on the phone.
