International award-winning photojournalist Reggie Radniecki will be sharing her experiences during a presentation at the University of Lincoln next Thursday (3rd April).

Professor Regene ‘Reggie’ Radniecki is Assistant Professor in Mass Communications at Minnesota State University, where she teaches online journalism and photography.

The presentation, entitled ‘Once Upon A Timeline (A Tale of Two Zines)’, will follow the trials, tribulations and triumphs that she and her students encountered during the development and production of the first two issues of a new general-interest ‘zine, horizonlines.org.

The publication brings together words and images in the best tradition of a print magazine but also takes advantage of the interactivity and multimedia capabilities of the Internet.

The first issue featured poetry and what it meant to a community. The second will feature documentary photography.

The ‘zine took students 16 weeks to develop from concept to reality.

All are welcome to attend the presentation, which will take place at 6.30pm in the Cargill Lecture Theatre at the university’s Brayford Pool campus.
