Four media students at the University of Lincoln hope to make an impact with their new short film.

Sean Brown (21), Ric Crossland (26), Chris Drury (20) and Chris Speed (22), final-year Media Production students at the university, will be filming on location at B&Q in Lincoln and at Humberside Airport in late March and early April.

Their 11-minute short film ‘Viva! Las Burgers’ will tell the story of a humdrum Elvis Presley impersonator and his girlfriend - a Marilyn Monroe impersonator – who run a burger van.

Their relationship runs into trouble when Marilyn’s secret lover whisks her away for a holiday to Las Vegas and Graceland.

“This will be the second film to be produced by our company, Forza Veron Productions,” said Ric, who is acting as producer on the short film.

“We made a longer film last semester but we’re aiming to enter short film festivals with this one so we will keep the length down to 11 minutes.”

The four students who make up Forza Veron Productions have each invested £100 in the film and would be pleased to receive offers of sponsorship from any local business or organisation.

The four, who all now live on West Parade in Lincoln, studied together at Newark and Sherwood College before enrolling at the university.

The shooting schedule for the film is as follows:

Humberside Airport                       Monday 31st March

B&Q, Lincoln (exterior)                 Tuesday 1st – Thursday 3rd April

B&Q, Lincoln (interior)                  Friday 4th April
