A new networking group to promote women in management is to be launched at the University of Lincoln next week.
Women in Management Forest and Fens Group is the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire group of Women in Management, part of the Chartered Management Institute.
The group is being set up by Susie Chambers, a University of Lincoln Management graduate, and the launch is being supported by the university and its Faculty of Business and Management.
Guest speaker at the launch on Wednesday 26th March will be Janet Malphus, image consultant with Color Me Beautiful.
The event will begin with registration and refreshments at 6.30pm in the Alstom Atrium at the university’s Brayford Pool campus. Janet Malphus will speak in the
Co-op Lecture Theatre at 7.15pm, after which delegates will have an opportunity to network with other management professionals from 8.15pm until 9pm.
“This will be a professional association for women interested in management and for men wishing to promote women in management,” said Susie.
“It will provide a focus for women looking for a career change or returning to work and for women already working as management professionals.
“Networking is an integral part of professional development and this group will provide opportunities for members to share their experiences with others.”
All are welcome to attend the launch. To book a place or for more information write to Chris Jordan, The Lodge, Manor Drive, Long Bennington, Notts NG23 5GZ or telephone Susie Chambers on 01636 679675.
