7th January 2003

Staff at the University of Lincoln are bracing themselves for another full house when campuses open their doors later this month.

Over 1,000 visitors are expected to attend an open day at the Brayford pool campus on Saturday 25th January 2003.

Prospective students and their friends and family will be able to visit all campuses including the Cathedral Campus (Lincoln School of Art & Design) and Riseholme Park (Lincolnshire School of Agriculture).

Illustration, Forestry, Sport Science, Fashion Studies, Law, Criminology and Advertising are just some of the many and varied subjects taught in Lincoln which will be showcased on the day.

The university’s main building will be open from 9.30am until 3.30pm and visitors will be formally welcomed on campus at a welcome presentation which repeats at 10am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

Visitors will be able to take campus tours and coach tours to other campuses,  view halls of residence, get important information on finance, accommodation and student support and speak to tutors on a one-to-one basis.

“Our open days are becoming more and more popular as they are a tremendous opportunity to see the facilities at first hand and speak to staff and current students about life at university,” said a spokesman.
