A fundraising calendar with a difference has gone on sale at the University of Lincoln this week.
Staff and students from the Conservation course at the Lincoln School of Art and Design have created their own calendar with images based on well known movies.
Everything from ‘A Clockwork Orange’ to ‘Chicken Run’ and ‘James Bond’ to ‘Thelma and Louise’ have been included in the production.
The calendar – entitled Famous Lab Coats in the Movies - features final-year students and staff from the university dressed in costume.
The photographs and graphics were all completed by former University of Lincoln student Spiros Misokilis, who graduated in Graphic Design earlier this year.
“We thought about producing the typical WI calendar but it was too cold to take our clothes off,” said calendar model Louise Hackett, “so we brainstormed and came up with the idea of a movie calendar with a scientific flavour.”
“None of this would have been possible without the support of the staff and students and in particular the printers, F W Cupit’s in Horncastle, who have been really helpful,” said Miss September, Liz Thomas.
The calendars are now on sale at a cost of £5.00 each at the University of Lincoln enquiry centre, Chad Varah House library and via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
