19th November 2002

Once again the University of Lincoln welcomed large crowds to their open day last Saturday (16th November).

Over 1800 visitors – 760 potential students - attended the open day which took place at campuses in Lincoln and Hull.

Games Computing, Social Work, TV & Film Design, Animal Nutrition, Recreation Management, Politics and English are just some of the areas in which the potential students were interested.

Members of staff were on hand from each programme area to meet and greet the guests and provide the information about the courses, finance, accommodation and other student and parent queries.

Current student helpers from the university gave regular tours of the campuses and facilities including the learning resources, halls of residence, dining areas and specific programme areas such as art and design studios, equine and animal units and TV and media production studios.

Many visitors took the opportunity to see the sights of Lincoln and Hull and do a little Christmas shopping during their day trip.

If you too would like to see what the university and the cities have to offer, come along to our next open day on Saturday 25th January.  For more information please contact Jacqueline Mayer on 01522 886046.
