Staff at the University of Lincoln were staggered at the overwhelming number of potential students who attended the open day last Saturday.
Over 1,300 visitors arrived at the Lincoln campuses to find out more about the many courses on offer and to take a look at the university’s facilities.
Among the most popular programmes were Media Production, Journalism, Forensic Science and Psychology but students attended presentations on everything from Tourism and Animation to History and Interior Design.
“We were amazed and delighted to see so many visitors,” said Jacqueline Mayer, event organiser. “We registered nearly three times the number of visitors who attended this time last year.
“These figures are partially due to the amalgamation with the ex-De Montfort University schools of agriculture and art and design in last October, but they also reflect the tremendous effort which the marketing team have made to raise the profile of the university nationwide.
“We hope that the next open day on November 16th will attract a similar number of visitors.”
