 VIRGIN BITES THE BULLET

 

Students from the University of Lincoln are being given the chance to win a share of the Virgin Mobile Big Red House this term.

 

The university’s student magazine Bullet has signed a sponsorship deal with Virgin Mobile for the next four issues. 

 

The magazine – written and edited by students - will be running the Virgin Mobile Big Red House campaign in which one student will win a house for a year.

 

The four-bedroomed, fully functional house in Lincoln will be shared, rent-free, by the winner and three chosen flatmates.

 

“We contacted the Virgin Mobile website with the aim of selling advertising space,” said Kat Linsley Hood, PR Manager for Bullet magazine. “We weren’t expecting a sponsorship deal.  However, this is one of many which the new ‘Bullet’ team are now hoping to develop.”

 

Kat (21), from Bournemouth and six other final-year Journalism and Communications students at the university began working on the monthly magazine when the former team completed their studies and handed over last term.

 

“We have many plans for Bullet including a website which is under construction at the moment,” continued Kat.

 

“It is quite a challenge for us all as we fit the work in around our final-year studies, but it is really good experience.

 

“The next issue is due out on 14th October and we hope to link it to the launch of our website.”
