SCIENTISTS TO CHEW OVER LATEST FOOD RESEARCH

 

Food scientists from all over the UK will be in Lincoln tomorrow and on Wednesday (2nd and 3rd July) for the biannual symposium of the Royal Society of Chemistry Food Group.

 

Postgraduate research students will meet at the University of Lincoln for a two-day meeting to present their latest findings in the fields of food science, food engineering and nutrition.

 

“The symposium is attended by researchers, supervisors, academics and industrialists who are interested in the latest ideas in food research,” said Prof Tony Taylor of the university’s Department of Biological Sciences.

 

Around 40 postgraduate students from universities including Lincoln, Nottingham, Leeds, Reading, North London, Strathclyde, Belfast, Manchester Metropolitan and Surrey will attend the event and 19 of them will present their most recent work.

 

The symposium will take place in the Jackson Lecture Theatre in the main academic at the Brayford Pool campus.
