TEAMWORK SAVES THE DAY

The teamwork of staff and students at the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture, in Caythorpe have saved the day once again.

The students’ summer ball organised by the Student Union Co-operative which was due to take place this evening at the Lincolnshire Showground has unfortunately been cancelled.

However, disappointed students at Caythorpe - many of whom had already hired their gowns and dinner jackets - asked the staff if some kind of event could be arranged in place of the ball.

Remarkably, thanks to the teamwork and determination of catering and estates staff, Caythorpe will be staging its very own farewell ball this evening (24th May).

Everything from the entertainment and flowers to menus, table decorations, staffing and wine have been arranged for the ball which will now take place in a large marquee on the terraces of Caythorpe Court.

“The teamwork has been outstanding,” said Jo Glasper, catering and facilities manager.  “To organise a ball for 120 people in such a short time really shows the dedication of the staff.”

The Caythorpe campus of the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture will be closing this summer and transferring its animal and equine courses to Riseholme Park, Lincoln.
