Over 1,000 students will receive their degrees from the University of Lincoln in July.
Students who have completed degree courses at the university’s Brayford Pool campus will graduate at Lincoln Cathedral on Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July.
Among those receiving honorary awards at this year’s ceremonies in Lincoln will be Christopher Oughtred, former Chairman of the Governors at the University of Lincoln, Chairman and Joint Managing Director of William Jackson and Son and a former High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire (Doctorate of Business Administration, 24th July, 11.30am).
De Montfort University will hold a graduation ceremony at Lincoln Cathedral on Tuesday 9th July for its students who have completed their studies at the Lincoln School of Art and Design and the Lincolnshire School of Agriculture (now part of the University of Lincoln).
“These awards ceremonies are an excellent opportunity to celebrate student achievement and at the same time to recognise the outstanding contribution made by certain individuals,” said a university spokesman.
“We are all looking forward to this summer’s ceremonies and hope that they will prove to be a memorable occasion for all concerned.”
