A talk at the University of Lincoln tomorrow (Thursday) will examine coastal erosion in the Humber estuary and on the Lincolnshire coast and what measures are in place to tackle it.


John Pygott of the Environment Agency will give a lecture entitled ‘Managed Set Back on the East Coast’ at Riseholme Park, Lincoln at 1.30pm.


Mr Pygott will describe the work of the Environment Agency and local landowners to address the problem of coastal erosion.


He will also talk about the prediction modelling for flooding within our region and will illustrate ecological methods used to alleviate the effects of sea level rise in the next few years.


All are welcome to attend the lecture which will take place in room 1.1 (tiered lecture theatre) at Riseholme Park.
