If you want to upgrade your qualifications, learn a new skill or simply broaden your horizons, part-time study at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside could be just what you’re looking for.

Whether it’s a short-course qualification in Mastering the Internet, a postgraduate diploma in Marketing or a part-time degree in Journalism, Politics or Law, there’s something for everyone in the university’s portfolio of part-time courses.

And the time to sign up is now: enrolment takes place at the Lincoln campus on Wednesday 5th September (4pm to 8pm) and on Monday 10th September (4pm to 8pm).

Part-time study is also available at North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe; enrolment takes place at the college on Tuesday 11th September (4pm to 8pm).

“Now is the time to grasp the nettle and sign up for that part-time course you’ve always promised yourself,” said university spokesman Jez Ashberry. “There’s a wealth of opportunities at the university for local people to tap into.”

Daytime units are usually timetabled between 9am and 5pm and evening units normally take place between 6pm and 7.30pm and between 8pm and 9.30pm.

Some part-time programmes run for one or two semesters only, while others (such as a part-time degree) would usually take a student five years to complete.

Fees for each unit range from £60 to £70 and financial help is available from a number of sources. Some UK undergraduates can ask for a fee waiver or apply for a student loan, disabled students can claim an allowance and some students can apply for help from the university’s Hardship Fund.
