12th September 2001
Students hoping to enrol on courses next year at the new University of Lincoln are invited to an open day on Saturday 22nd September to get an insight into university life.
The open day is aimed at students of all ages, particularly mature students, who will be able to meet current mature students and get involved in ‘Getting Back into Education’ sessions.
“University life is not just for 18-21 year olds,” commented education liaison officer Karen Raynes. “We understand that there are some barriers to learning for mature students but we want to reassure them that the university can offer them support.
“And judging from how busy last year’s open days were, we expect this year’s to be even busier.”
The open day is to be held from 10am to 3pm at the Lincoln campus and is aimed at students interested in the following programmes:
Accountancy International Relations
Business Studies Law
English Media Production
Food Studies Politics
Forensic Science PR
Health Studies Social Policy
History Sports Science
Human Resources Tourism
Talks about funding your degree and accommodation will also be part of day.
