Have you visited a cathedral in the UK recently? If so, why not share your views in a university focus group?

The Department of Tourism at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside is looking for volunteers to join a focus group on 17th October to discuss what they really experience when they visit a cathedral.

The researchers are looking for people from Lincoln who have visited cathedrals outside of the city.

“What is important is that each volunteer has visited a cathedral other than Lincoln as a tourist or day tripper, during the last twelve months,” said senior lecturer Richard Voase, who is leading the project.

“Volunteers just need to be ordinary cathedral visitors. We are not looking for a panel of experts. We are only interested in what people expect from and remember about a cathedral visit, only in the most general terms,” added Richard.

The project is being undertaken in partnership with the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln Cathedral.

Adults of all ages are invited to volunteer and should come along to the university psychology observation room at the Lincoln campus from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday 17th October.
