Professor Roger King and  Mr John White are to be presented with honorary awards at the Lincoln graduation ceremony on 18th July.


Professor Roger King, who was Vice Chancellor of the university between 1992 and September last year, will be made an honorary Doctor of the University. 


He has contributed to national and international higher education institutions including the Association of Commonwealth Universities and was also a regular writer for The Times Higher Education Supplement.    


John White will receive an honorary fellowship for his long-standing involvement with the University of Lincoln.  He became a governor in 1988 and was largely concerned with the birth of the Lincoln campus. 


Mr White is also chairman of the North Lindsey College and a Justice of the Peace.


“We are delighted to present Mr White and Professor King with these awards and hope they will continue to have links with the university in the future,” commented Rebecca Hubbard, the university’s marketing manager.


“We look forward to hearing speeches from them both and hope they will assist with the prize-giving during the ceremony,” she added.
