Two Fine Art students who are graduating in Hull next week have been selected to showcase their work at the New Academy Gallery in London.

Nick Tully and Simon Limbert, who studied at the Hull School of Art and Design, are amongst 25 graduates from colleges between Sheffield and Carlisle to have been chosen to exhibit their work at the Gallery’s Northern Graduates exhibition next month (2nd – 24th August)

A series of five of Nick and Simon’s photographs which were part of their final year degree show were selected by David Alker from the University of Central Lancashire and Anna Cusden, a curator at the New Academy gallery.

“Nick and Simon’s sense of humour and maverick style really comes through in their work which is why we thought they would be ideal for the exhibition,” said Anna Cusden.

The two artists, who lived and worked together in Hull, are well known at the School for their off-the-wall projects including the creation of a 15-foot Jacuzzi, which was also part of the degree show.

The Northern Graduates exhibition will run from 2nd to 24th August and includes a private viewing on Wednesday 1st August.  For more information about the exhibition, contact Anna Cusden on 0207 6361459.

Nick and Simon will graduate from the City Hall at 11.30am on 26th July.
