Over 2,000 sixth-form students are to attend the Humberside Higher Education Fair held at Cottingham Road campus next week.

Universities and colleges from all over the country will each have a stall providing information about different courses and university life.  Representatives will also be at the fair on Monday 2nd July between 10am and 3pm, to answer any questions local students may have.

The Teacher Training Agency will also be present and there will be a stall giving advice on taking a year out. Throughout the day, a series of talks will run on particular subjects.

This annual event, which is organised by the University of Lincoln and the Humberside Careers Service, has been going for more than 10 years and is a highlight of the higher education calendar.

“The fair at Cottingham Road is a must for all those students considering university and is really valuable as a way of letting youngsters know the huge range of options they have on leaving school,” said co-organiser Jacqueline Mayer, the university’s Education Liaison Manager.

“It is an excellent opportunity for youngsters in the area to find out answers to all their questions regarding higher education.”
