The president of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside’s Students’ Union has been made a director of the national trading company for the National Union of Students.
Verity Coyle, who was recently re-elected president of ULHSU, was appointed Director of Member Liaison for the National Union of Students Services Limited (NUSSL) at their annual general meeting held in Liverpool this week.
Present at the conference were NUSSL professionals, Students’ Unions from across the country and stakeholders in the company.
“I am delighted with the new role,” said Verity, who received 11,000 out of 12,000 votes as a result of her manifesto and speech. “Being part of NUSSL means that we won’t be so introspective and that we we’ll network with other unions.”
Part of her new role, which starts in August, will mean that Verity will be responsible for training as many as 800 NUS liaison officers in the country.
