The EICH Gallery on George Street will be open on Saturdays for the next six weeks to encourage local people to view the latest exhibition on show.

The EICH (European Illustration Collection Hull) Gallery, part of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, will be displaying ‘Images 25’, the 25th annual touring exhibition of the Association of Illustrators, for six weeks from today (Monday).

The exhibition, which comes to Hull direct from its opening week at the Royal College of Art, features 60 original artworks produced for publication in magazine editorials, books and advertisements.

“We will be open on Saturdays during the course of this exhibition to encourage more access to the general public,” said gallery curator Kathie Jenkins.

The EICH Gallery is one of a number of galleries in the region to have received additional funding to provide opportunities for families to enjoy exhibitions during Museum and Galleries Month in May.

‘Images 25’ can be seen at the EICH Gallery from 10am until 4pm Monday to Saturday until Wednesday 6th June.

On Saturday 2nd June the gallery will stage additional fun activities using new technology – stand by for further details.
