MAKING LIBRARY FUNDS GO FURTHER

In the library profession, the growth of information sources has meant increasing prices, tighter budgets and the requirement to make money go further.

A one-day meeting to be held by the east midlands section of the Library Association University, College and Research Group will focus on the issue of maximising funds and the recent developments to help achieve this.

The meeting at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside’s Lincoln campus on Tuesday 20th March is open to Library Association members as well as non-members.

Speakers include Nikki Green, manager of the Combined Higher Education Software Team, Phil Coles from Blackwells, Gill Barry from Manchester University and Eileen Hiller from the University of Huddersfield. They will talk about collection development, consortial purchasing and outsourcing.

The meeting will take place from 10:30am to 4:00pm in the boardroom annexe, 2nd floor, main building. Places are limited. To request a booking form please contact Philippa Dyson on 01482 463118 or pdyson@humber.ac.uk
