A student at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will face the challenge of a lifetime when he takes part in the Flora London Marathon on 22nd April.

Tim Armitage, a second-year Law student, is running the marathon for Whizz-Kidz, a charity which aims to improve the mobility of children with disabilities, giving them a better quality of life.

“I have never done anything like this in my life, but after spending a year at university living with a disabled girl, I can really appreciate the need for mobility aid,” said Tim. “This has motivated me to try and raise as much money as possible.”

Tim needs to raise £3,000 - the cost of two lightweight wheelchairs.  The Students’ Union has helped raise some of the money through organising a number of events but more help is needed.

Anyone wishing to sponsor Tim should contact him on 01522 802738. For further information about Whizz-Kidz contact 0207 2339696.
