A conference which aims to bring together research scientists and fish processing firms will take place in Grimsby this summer.


‘The Fourth Biennial Conference on Fish Processing’,  to be held at Great Grimsby Town Hall from 3rd to 5th July, has been organised by Prof Tony Taylor of the  Food Research Centre at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside


Representatives from various organisations including the Marine Stewardship Council, the Natural Resources Institute and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) will be attending the three-day conference along with companies such as Seafish Hull and MD Associates.


[deleted text here] “Each day will focus on a different set of issues affecting the fish processing industry, starting with stocks and supply, followed by quality and safety and finishing with science and technology,” commented Prof Taylor.


Other organisations involved in staging the conference are the Society of Chemical Industry and North East Lincolnshire Council.
