Hull City Hall will be the venue for the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside’s winter awards ceremony on Friday (19th January).


Around 260 students will gather at City Hall at 11.30am on Friday to celebrate the successful completion of their studies.


Most of the students attending the ceremony will have studied for postgraduate qualifications or will be receiving awards for courses studied at partner institutions abroad and validated by ULH.


Christopher Oughtred, chairman of the governors at the university and group chairman and joint managing director of WJS Management Services Ltd in Hull,

will present the awards and prizes.

Among the students receiving awards on Friday will be


·                    Habib Al Balushi (Master of Business Administration), who is the military attaché at the Omani Embassy in Washington

·                    Richard Hollinshead, the first ever recipient of a PhD in Sculpture from ULH

·                    Four students from Wigan and Leigh College who have completed a BA (Hons) in International Business Administration by distance learning

·                    Sandra Lacey (MA Interdisciplinary Design) who earned a distinction for her major project and now works for John Redman Design Associates, one of the leading specialist museum and heritage design companies in the UK.
