25th January 1999

Eleven managers from Cottingham-based caravan manufacturers Swift Group Ltd will be at Hull City Hall on Friday 29th January to collect postgraduate certificates.

The managers followed a new work-based in-company management development programme run by the Hull Business School, part of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

Swift Group managing director Tony Hailey, who also sits on the university’s board of governors, said the course had helped the participants enormously. “The employees in the company who are on the MBA programme have found that this course has helped them not only to create a wider awareness of their own ability, but also to develop more productive relationships with their colleagues,” he said.

“Some of them have already gained promotion and are using their new-found skills to good effect in progressing several major projects to the benefit of both the company and themselves.”

The successful students were: Jim Bolton, Craig Hewson, David Holbrook, Graham Jacobs, Martin Hailey, John Mercer, Nic Morton, David Stuart, James Turner and Rob Tyler.
