18th August 2000

Students applying for last-minute places at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside are invited to explore their new place of study at several open days being held over the next few days.

Applicants offered courses through the universities’ clearing system, which allocates spare places after candidates have accepted their offers, can view accommodation, learning support and other facilities.

Academics are waiting on the end of the phone in the university’s clearing call centre to talk to any student interested in studying at ULH this September. They have already received hundreds of calls but places are still available.

“Students these days are far more clued up about the clearing process than they used to be because information on what to do if things don’t turn out as planned is readily available,” said ULH registrar Franklyn Marks.
