Thousands of teenagers from across the East Riding are on campus at the University of Lincoln today (19th June) to learn more about university life.

Almost all of Britain’s universities and colleges are represented at the Humberside Higher Education Fair being held in the giant marquee on the Cottingham Road campus.

This annual event has been staged at ULH for more than 10 years and is a major part of the higher education calendar, helping the 3,000 visiting sixth-formers make up their minds about what will be the right course for them.

It gives local youngsters the chance to find out answers to all their questions - from how to apply to taking a year out before beginning a degree.

Subject talks take place all day and students will have the opportunity to tour the academic facilities and accommodation available at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside’s Cottingham campus.

“Finding the right course and institution to study it at can be a daunting task for teenagers but having all the universities under one roof at an event like this is a great help to them,” said co-organiser Jacqueline Mayer, the university’s Education Liaison Manager.
