The University of Lincolnshire & Humberside is to donate five computers from its Nuns Corner site in Grimsby to help small community businesses in North-East Lincolnshire.

Neil Cartwright, a business advisor from the university’s EPICentre based in Lincoln, will be in Immingham tomorrow to hand the computers over to Neil King, deputy project manager at North-East Lincolnshire Community Business Development Ltd.

The obsolete PCs will be upgraded and then passed on to community and voluntary groups in the local area.

“We are very grateful to the university for this donation of five PCs which are absolutely vital in the work that we do in North-East Lincolnshire,” said Mr King.

“We will be training local people to upgrade the computers and donating them to groups in the voluntary sector.”

Any businesses wishing to receive free confidential advice from the university can call the EPICentre on 01522 886911.
