The University of Lincolnshire & Humberside’s first ever distance-learning graduate has  been awarded a special prize for the quality of his work.

Richard Morin (32), a Flight Lieutenant based at RAF Benson, Wallingford, is the first student to graduate from the university’s BA (Hons) International Business Administration Distance Learning Programme.

He followed his course at Basingstoke College of Technology, studying the difficulties of managing the organisational cultures of the RAF and civilian contractors.

And his work was of such high quality that he has also been awarded the ULH International prize for the best individual performance on a distance-learning programme.

“Richard has achieved a great deal in a short space of time,” said Phil Howe, programmes manager at Basingstoke College. “We would like to pass on our congratulations to him on achieving a 2:1.”

Sarah Gribbin, regional manager at ULH International, commented: “The university has worked hard at developing its distance learning materials and we’re very proud of the quality of them. This is a good day for the university and a great day for this particular student.”
