University vice chancellor Prof Roger King has been counted among Britainís greatest achievers and is to attend a special celebration lunch tomorrow, alongside the Queen and Baroness Thatcher.

Prof King, from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, will join famous names from the worlds of education, science and politics as well as community leaders at the Mansion House, the home of the Lord Mayor of London, Lord Levene.

All 300 guests have been named as achieving great things for the country in their own field, and Prof King, who is also chairman of the Institute for Teaching and Learning Council has been named for his contribution to education.

Rubbing shoulders with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will be three former Tory prime ministers, Baroness Thatcher, Sir Edward Heath and John Major and many from the stage, screen and showbusiness.

Lesser known people attending the lunch who have proved themselves in their own communities include charity and community workers.
