A librarian at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will get the chance to represent the north of England at a major library conference in Jerusalem this summer.

Liz Grove, a service adviser in the university’s Learning Support department based in Hull, is one of four people chosen nationally to attend the International Federation of Library Associations Conference from 11th - 18th August.

“It will be a wonderful experience and a fantastic chance to network and make lots of international contacts,” said Liz.

“I’ll be going as an observer and reporting back, writing articles and helping to disseminate new information through training sessions,” she explained.

The theme of the conference will be ‘Information for Co-operation - Creating the Global Library of the Future’.

Liz lives in Long Lane, Beverley, and works at the Hooper Building on the university’s City Centre campus.
