15th May 2000

Students from John Leggott College in Scunthorpe will visit the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside today (Monday 15th May) to see at first hand what university life has to offer.

The university will host sixth formers for an information day to help prepare them for the decisions they now face on the future of their education.

The highlight of the day for the pupils will be using TV equipment from the Media Production Centre to make their own television programmes.

Education liaison manager Jacqueline Mayer is organising the day. “We look forward to welcoming the sixth-formers to the university,” she said.

“They are about to take some very important decisions about their futures - ULH has a lot to offer them and we are keen to promote the benefits of receiving a university education in the county.”

The sixth-formers will also receive advice on filling in their university application forms and will get to hear all about life on campus from student ambassadors.
