Lincoln students are busy preparing for an end-of-year production show in May, which it is hoped will attract the media industry.

The third-years will be the first on the Media Production programme at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside to graduate from the Lincoln campus and the show is their chance to show off their work to staff, other students and members of the public.

“This is the first time the show has taken place in Lincoln and as these are also the first students to graduate here its quite an exciting time,” said Christine Bellamy, senior lecturer in Media Production.

The daytime event will be open to the public who will be able to see the students’ films and hear the radio productions in one of the university’s multi-media lecture theatres.

The films range from documentaries to dramas and are on a variety of themes including romantic tales and mysteries. Thirty projects will be submitted for final assessment - the result of many months of hard work on the part of students and lecturers.

An evening event will be held by invitation only when excerpts of the broadcasts will be shown and heard by members of the business community and local media industry.

The Lincoln graduation ceremony will take place at Lincoln Cathedral on 11th July.
