International students at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside will do their bit to promote harmony between the nations when they join forces with the Students’ Union for a major bash on Saturday (1st April 2000).

Students from the UK and overseas will come together for a toga party in the Cottingham Road Students’ Union building co-organised by HIBS - Hull International Business Students.

“With Roman garb obligatory and a host of fun activities planned, the party promises to be a night to remember,” said Students’ Union President Paul Shipstone.

“This is the first time the Students’ Union and HIBS have got together to stage a party, and we’re looking forward to a night of fun and frolics.”

Hull International Business Students is the biggest student society at the Cottingham Road campus and was launched last year to provide a social and cultural focus for the university’s many business students who come from abroad to study.

Now over 200 students representing 15 nationalities have signed up for the society’s eclectic programme of events with an international flavour.

The party will begin to swing at 8pm on Saturday. Entry is £1 for HIBS members and NUS card holders and £2 for others.
