A major event in Lincoln’s legal calendar to be attended by judges and local lawyers will be hosted by the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside on Monday (6th March).

Janette Porteous and her colleagues from the university’s Law Department are co-ordinating the latest meeting of the Lincoln Family Court Forum at the Lincoln campus.

Among issues to be debated will be the Children and Family Court Advisory Service, and expectations for the coming year.

Guest speakers will include the advisory service’s project manager Helen Hartwell and the university’s law students will also be joining in the debate.

“This is an important meeting for the Law Department and Lincoln’s legal calendar,” said Ms Porteous. “It will be of great interest and is an important opportunity for our students to listen to and engage in high-quality legal debate.”
