Would-be university students have one more chance to snap up a place at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside this week.

The university is to stage an open day in Hull this Wednesday (25th August) to allow pupils who have just received their A-level results to look around the campus on Cottingham Road. They will also have the chance to meet lecturers and discuss gaining a place at the university through the clearing system.

“Clearing is the chance for students without a place, for whatever reason, to compete for one of the last few places available on a range of courses,” said education liaison manager Ann Spencer.

“The offer of a place is, of course, subject to qualifications and experience, but there is the possibility that some students may be able to sign up for a place on the day.”

Programmes which may be on offer include Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Architecture, Art and Animation.

The open day will take place at the Cottingham Road campus between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday.
