The first ever graduates of a new national registration scheme for school bursars will receive their awards at Lincoln Cathedral next week.

The six bursars are the first to successfully complete the National Bursars Association’s Registration Scheme which has been developed by the NBA in association with the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

Jane Whyman of Wimbledon, Ann Parry of Swindon, Frances Sadler from Clacton, Jennifer Parkes of Walsall and David Wheen and Jackie Wardle from Slough will all be at the cathedral on Thursday 8th July for the university’s first ever Lincoln graduation ceremony.

“Other institutions offer a variety of training courses, but what we’re concerned to do is support bursars with a professional postgraduate qualification,” said Fergus O’Sullivan of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

“We’ve had three years’ experience of running the Master of Business Administration (MBA) course for bursars and we’re very happy to validate this first ever accreditation of experience for bursars.”
