BRANSHOLME WOMEN ON THE INTERNET

On Thursday (10th June 1999) there will be only 200 days of the millennium remaining - and to mark the latest stage in the countdown the Millennium Commission is promoting its award-winners across the UK.

Kasim Randeree, an Engineering lecturer at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, won an award of over £6,000 earlier this year for his work with the Bransholme Women’s Centre in Hull.

Kasim is one of the people whom the Millennium Commission will be using tomorrow to promote their work as 1999 begins to draw to a close.

The academic will be doubly busy on Thursday as he is also staging an Internet Training Day for women from the Bransholme centre at the university’s campus on Cottingham Road.

The women will be learning the ins and outs of e-mail, hyperlinks and bulletin boards between 10am and 3pm in the university’s Myton Building.

Other events planned over the summer include car maintenance (24th June), 3D home design (1st July) and animation / multimedia (29th July).
