MORE THAN JUST A VIDEO

A major national bank has taken advantage of the high-tech equipment and talented students at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

Two Communications students based at the Lincoln campus used the digital facilities to edit a corporate video for IT Operations at the National Westminster Bank.

Sam Calvert and Paul Adamson were given the challenge of editing a mix of footage into a 15-minute video which will be shown to top London executives.

“Both Sam and Paul undertook the challenge with tremendous enthusiasm, and with the help of their technical knowledge and skills, dedication and commitment the result was excellent,” said Alan Downs, senior manager of IT Operations’ National Team. “We would definitely consider working with the university on future projects."

The idea to use the university’s facilities came from a graduate of ULH who now works alongside Mr Downs at NatWest.

Fiona McKinley studied Communications at the Humberside campus, graduating in 1997.

“This was an excellent opportunity to work with the university on a mutually beneficial project,” said Ms McKinley.
