A student project chosen over a London company to produce a corporate video will hand over its work to the client on Friday.

Lecturer Neil Kendall and his media students from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside put in a successful bid to produce a professional training video for Yellow Pages distributors in the Lincoln area.

This is the first time a corporate video has been produced at the Lincoln campus where editing facilities in the £11 million Learning Resources and Media Production Centre were used to give a really professional look.

They pitched to LincDirect who train staff locally and were chosen for their idea to make the directory into a character which tells staff how it likes to be handled.

“This was a great opportunity for the students to work on a real project,” said Mr Kendall who has 20 years experience in broadcasting. “They went head to head with a professional company to win the contract.”

The five-minute video will be handed over to Yellow Pages’ representatives on Friday (14th May).
