The chances of students finding a job after graduating from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside are among the best in the country, according to a recent survey.

Graduates with degrees from the university are being snapped up by companies across the country in preference to students from Cambridge, Oxford and Bristol.

In figures published on Thursday the university was rated 24th out of 97 institutions showing an employability rate of 66% compared to Cambridge and Oxford where only half of graduates can expect to be employed after completing their degrees.

The average rate for graduate employment across the country is 59%.

“Our graduates are out there competing with students from the so-called best universities and they are the ones getting the jobs,” said a university spokesperson.

“The British education system is among the best in the world and the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, despite its relative newness, is making sure its students are making good use of what they have learned here.”
