COMIC RELIEF SUCCESS ON CAMPUS

Some people will do anything for a good cause and students’ union vice-president Simon Green was no exception on Comic Relief Night at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

Students paid 50p each to strip wax Simon’s legs at the party in the Lincoln campus’ Atrium and handed over more cash to watch him sit in a bath of baked beans and then drink a pint of them!

Everyone at the party was supposed to wear red - those that didn’t paid a fine.

Thanks to the efforts of Simon, his fellow officers who were rattling tins all day and the students, the campus raised £654 to help Comic Relief’s projects in Britain and abroad.

“It was a great night and a success for Comic Relief,” said Simon. “Thanks to everyone who turned up.”

And another charity event is coming soon to the campus - Rag Week is 19th to 23rd April, culminating in a Ball at Kelham Hall near Newark which is now sold out.

Student representative Charlotte Templeman said: “It’s going to be the best Ball the campus ever seen, we can’t wait!”

Note for Editors
