A meeting to debate the venue of the new City and County Museum will be held at the Lincoln campus of the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside this Friday (19 February).

No decision has yet been taken over where the new site could be but two options are the prison building at Lincoln Castle or as part of a new development in the Brayford area.

City councillors are backing the Brayford cause which they say would help improve the whole area and promote it as a cultural quarter for residents, students and the thousands of visitors who come to Lincoln each year.

Friday’s public meeting will be held in the Jackson Lecture Theatre at the Lincoln campus from 6pm.
