Lincoln School of Art & Design
Opportunities exist in the Lincoln School of Art & Design to undertake supervised research for the degrees via the University's Learning Contract Scheme, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
This programme offers the opportunity to undertake a considerable independent research project in the fields of Art and Design.
Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design - A key aim of the MRes Art, Architecture and Design is to develop research skills and prepare postgraduate students for careers in academic research.
If you have a passion for historic material and a desire to use practical as well as intellectual skills this programme could be your route into conservation and work in the heritage industry.
The Graduate Diploma is an intensive one-year conversion course for graduates from a non-conservation background, which enables you to progress on to the Masters in Conservation. Alternatively it will give you a platform from which you can pursue a career in other aspects of the Heritage industry.
MA Contemporary Curatorial Practice is a practice led research informed programme which allies itself to understanding the production, interpretation and reception of cultural artefacts in the 21st Century.
It is a practice based programme combined with research and provides opportunities to develop the relevant creative, intellectual and technical skills, particularly in the new media and technologies, which are essential to enter contemporary design practice at a high level.
This is a practical, studio-based course, with core units in critical theory, which intend to help students contextualise and locate their work within a contemporary and relevant framework of reference.
