WelcomeLincoln School of Art and Design is a
distinguished part of the University with a history of nearly 150 years.
Just one of the School’s strengths is its strong studio culture. You will
find a range of distinctive studio environments each demonstrating a close
relationship to their own specific contexts and teaching and research
methods.
Our teaching and learning is informed by one of the largest assessed research
HEFC cohorts in the UK. In Art and Design we are the 25th largest submission in
the UK with the overwhelming majority of work nationally recognised or better.
60% of our research was identified as "internationally recognised" including
some rated world-leading.
Our Research active staff teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Thinking about a career in Architecture, Art or Design? Wondering where a degree in the arts could take you? Download the latest broadsheet from the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, with its focus on employability, and read where some of our graduates are now working, and how they got there.
