Biography

Nick is currently Principal Lecturer for Programme Development within the Department of Marketing. He is Programme leader for MSc International Marketing Strategy. He spent fifteen years marketing semiconductors and his career took him all over the world. Before moving to academia Nick previously worked for companies such as Marconi, AEG and Honeywell.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Sheffield Hallam University. He held the position of Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam for the School of Business and Finance until 2002. After leaving Sheffield he joined the Lecturing team at the University of Lincoln in 2003.      

Teaching

He lectures on various marketing courses and teaches the following units:

  • International Marketing Strategy
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Marketing Research
  • Marketing Communications
  • International Business

He is currently a visiting faculty in Marketing and International Business at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

Professional memberships

Nick is an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He organises CIM activities on behalf of the University of Lincoln. He also holds external examining posts with the University of Sheffield Management School. 

Publications

Nick has published widely in the area of Sustainability, Environmental Best Practice and Marketing in SMEs. He has published many journal articles and written a host of refereed conference papers. A recent example of a journal article Nick has contributed to is:
