The MA in 21st Century Literature at Lincoln is one of the first master's in the UK and indeed the world on 21st century writing. It is a taught postgraduate programme which aims to give students a critical understanding of current developments in contemporary literature, a sample of the diversity and variety of English studies now and the skills needed to equip them for further research or employment
The MA in Creative Writing is a taught postgraduate programme which is specifically designed to link theory to practice at several levels. Not only will students have the opportunity to practice different genres of creative writing as they compile a portfolio of their own work, they will also be required to produce a piece of work which will be electronically published

The MA in Historical Studies is a lively and challenging course that engages critically with history as an academic discipline, explores its problematic employment as a cultural practice and equips students with the skills they need to pursue historical research.
MA Medieval Studies introduces students to a range of exciting approaches to the middle ages, and provides essential training in key skills for advanced research using medieval primary sources.
Research opportunities are available within the main subject areas of English, History, Linguistics, Journalism and Cultural Studies.
